A Continuum, Somatic Movement, Sound & Body of Wonder Nature Practices in Gozo, Malta
Dates to be confirmed — expressions of interest are welcome.
Enter the Spiral is a 6-day somatic movement retreat in Gozo, Malta, exploring fluidity, spiral movement, sound, nature, ancient sites, and the inner and outer movements of life.
Set within the luminous landscapes of the Maltese islands, this retreat invites participants into a deeper relationship with body, movement, breath, water, stone, sound, and place. Through Continuum, somatic movement, awareness practice, Body of Wonder Nature Practices, breath, sound, walking, swimming, paddling, and reflective inquiry, we explore the spiral as a living pattern of growth, consciousness, resilience, and transformation.
The spiral appears throughout nature and ancient symbolic life — in shells, waves, plants, galaxies, embryological development, movement, ritual, and the unfolding pathways of experience. This retreat offers a spacious opportunity to sense the spiral not only as an image or symbol, but as a movement of life within the body.
The Retreat Experience
Each day we journey into embodied awareness through breath, sound, fluid movement, somatic inquiry, nature practice, and contemplative reflection. Practices are designed to support flexibility, resilience, inner listening, creativity, and the capacity to move between different rhythms and “bandwidths” of experience.
Gozo and Malta offer a powerful setting for this work. Participants may visit mysterious megalithic temples and archaeological sites, explore sound and resonance in relation to ancient places, walk along soaring sea cliffs, swim and paddle in aquamarine waters, and experience sea caves, coastal landscapes, and village life.
Retreat activities may include:
Somatic movement sessions
Breath, sound, and awareness practices
Body of Wonder Nature Practices
Guided nature walks
Swimming and water-based practice
Sea paddling or coastal exploration, conditions permitting
Visits to Neolithic temple sites
Visit to the Ħal Saflieni Hypogeum, subject to ticket availability and site regulations
Nature art-making session and meal guided by a local artist
Ground transfers to organised group activities
This retreat is an invitation to be enveloped by the magic of Malta — to listen inwardly, move fluidly, explore ancient landscapes, and rediscover the living spiral of body, nature, consciousness, and creativity.

Our home base is the enchanting island of Gozo, Malta. Accommodation is planned in a charming limestone farmhouse-style, family-run bed and breakfast — a traditional Gozitan house of character.
